New Comics Out – 3.30.16

Here’s a couple of picks I recommend you picking up today.

Godzilla: Oblivion #1
The 5-part miniseries is about a scientist that creates a portal to a dimension that is full of monsters and ruled by the King of Monsters, Godzilla. But what happens when a baby kaiju hitches a ride back through the portal to our world. Sounds intriguing! Written by Joshua Hale Fialkov and art by Brian Churilla. Give it a try!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Deviations #1
It’s a one shot issue which means one and done. IDW Publishing will be putting out a few issues that they are calling Deviations this month which are similar to Marvel’s What If line. The storyline for this issue is what if the turtles were led by The Shredder? Written by Tom Waltz and art by Zach Howard. It’s a 4.99 book but definitely sounds like it’ll be a good one.

Daredevil #5
It’s not a number one, but Daredevil should be in your collection. Written by Charles Soule and art by Ron Garney. It shouldn’t be too hard to catch up if you’d hadn’t already been buying them. The writing is top notch and the art is darkly beautiful.

X-Men ’92 #1
There is something about the 90’s X-Men that just makes me want to pick this comic up. I remembering sitting in front of the television with a bowl of cereal watching X-Men. This new ongoing series is everything you may remember and more. Written by Chris Sims and art by Alti Firmansyah.

That’s all for today. The days of buying comic books off a rack at a convenience store are long gone, but there are many other places that can feed your appetite. Find a local comic book store or Hastings near you and jump into the awesome world of comics.
